Nicely packaged, my daughter loves them

I haven’t read these but my 12 year old son absolutely adores these books. He talks about them in such detail that I can tell the storyline and lore is far reaching and very exciting. I’ve just bought him the actual books mostly because there are so many more of them – though I believe these graphic novels are a good interpretation of the original novels. The artwork really is beautiful.

My granddaughter couldn’t put the first book down, and read it in one go! Lived it, she’s almost 8

I was so hyped to get myself these books, upon opening it seems they’ve been heavily damaged at the corner, all of the books have been scuffed at the bottom and I cannot get over it. The books are beautiful and this just ruins it for me, considering I was looking forward to getting these. Not sure what Im going to do now, as I dont want to open them If I can return and replace 🙁

This series has been a huge reading breakthrough for my son. We moved to France when my son turned 5. So while his first language is English, he learned to read French at school. He’s always been reluctant to try to tackle an English book. But this was just the right combo of words, pictures, and dragons to get him going.
