Wolves Always Bite (Willow Lake Supernaturals Book 2)
£2.99
Ask a lot of questions, take a lot of notes, and try to seduce a werewolf, of course.
Jeremy has always wanted to befriend mythical creatures, play with forbidden magic, and meet his fated mate. Okay, okay. He knows the difference between fiction and real life; he is an author after all… Or he would be if he ever got to “The End” on one of his stories. So he realizes his desire to live inside a fantasy romance novel is a touch unrealistic, but where is the joy in living a life that is boring and predictable and overwhelmingly blah?
At least that’s what he thinks until a hot AF werewolf saves him from his freaky boss and turns his whole life upside down. And his boss? She isn’t the weird old lady he thought she was, but how could he have guessed she is a grumpy goblin with a reputation for selling black-market magical artifacts? Now Jeremy is determined to know everything about the supernatural world, and Adrian, his swoon-worthy werewolf hero, is willing to answer all his questions, even when they make the big guy blush.
But when his former goblin boss kidnaps his cat to convince Jeremy to return the items she thinks he stole, things get serious fast. Now in between plotting his next MM romance and seducing the beautiful werewolf (and not just for research purposes), he needs to stage a cat rescue. Life is definitely not boring now.

Independent reviewer for GRR, I was gifted my copy of this book.
This is book 2 in the Willow Lake Supernaturals series. While it can be read as a stand alone book, I think you’ll get better enjoyment if you read book one, Hellhounds Never Lie, first. It will give you a better view of this group, and of Willow Lake. Jeremy is Ash’s best friend.
Jeremy gets caught up in a magic artifact stealing ring, unknowlingly. Adrian rescues him from the scary goblin who was his boss. But it triggers a series of events, and one thing leads to another. Jeremy turns out to be not so human after all!
I loved Jeremy. His mind goes a mile a minute and he asks questions constantly! But those questions made me laugh, cos I’m merrily reading along, and Jeremy pops up with a supernatural question about something and I’m thinking: I read that! I read that in another book! So all the way through, I kept putting books to his questions!
Adrian had been hurt before, and wasn’t ready to let anyone in, but the Magic in Willow Lake had other ideas. Once he acccepts Jeremy is his fated mate, he goes all in. But then Jeremy does what he does to save everyone, and it’s clear the magic meant for them to be together.
Lots of characters pop up from book one, along with some new ones in Adrian’s team. Gage is a particularly interesting character, from what Adrian says about him. He needs a book, and I need to read it!
And still, we do not know what Paws is, although, he isn’t such a prominant character here as in book 1.
Thoroughly loved my repeat trip into Willow Lake, and can’t wait to go again.
4 very good stars

I really enjoyed book one of the series, where we are introduced to the town of Willow Lake which is home to a high number of paranormals. Jeremy gets a few brief mentions as the human best friend of Ash. In this book, he deservedly takes centre stage. He’s a great character, insecure but well meaning and eager and fascinated by all things paranormal. So he is thrilled to find out such things are real. Adrian is the strong and surprisingly sweet werewolf who ends up protecting him. It’s a great storyline as there are strange goings on in the paranormal world and part of this comes to light during the story. But there are still plenty of questions to carry forward into the next book. Which I really look forward to!

Pacy, fun-filled paranormal adventure with plenty of romance. Loved these characters! So so much sass and banter and those weird questions that cross your brain but probably shouldn’t come out of your mouth , but hey, what’s a little curiosity amongst friends? Best to read the series in order. Enthralling easy read. Looking forward to the next one.

Wolves Always Bite is a fun paranormal romance with an edge of adventure.
Jeremy, the wannabe author human who starts out clueless, then finds out his boss, his BFF and his rescuer are all supes, is such a fun character. I really appreciated his PNR obsessed curiosity!
In this you’ll find:
???? MM PNR with some spice
???? Grumpy, protective werewolf investigator
???? Sunshiny human writer with 6 older brothers & endless curiosity about paranormal stories
???? Supernatural age gap
???? Magical sex + knotting
???? A demanding Maine Coon cat
???? A found family team of supes
???? A HEA

If, like me, you get frustrated reading stories of humans who take discovery of the paranormal world waaay too calmly and don’t immediately burst into a frenzy of questions then you will LOVE Jeremy (and this book). Human writer Jeremy thought werewolves only existed in books, and goes wild when he discovers there is so much more to the world than he previously thought (demons and witches and goblins, oh my!). The book opens up so many plot lines and characters, whilst still feeling like it stands alone (it’s book 2 in a series, but I read it without having read book 2 and felt it still made perfect sense) and I’m now going to go back and start reading from the beginning because I want more!

This is another great addition to this debut series, the story is well written and enjoyable the world building and introduction of characters has been good, I think Jeremy and Adrian are great together, we learned about Jeremy in Ash and Dillion’s book as he was Ash’s best friend and it was so good to read his story as he is such a fun character with his crazy questions. I’m looking forward to Jake and Gage’s story next and then I can’t wait to see who’s after that as there’s so many great characters which hopefully means plenty more stories to come in this series.

Jeremy was a character who never seemed to slow down! His mind moved at 100 miles an hour, he was definitely quirky but also clearly very loyal and loving. I thought Adrian was perfect for bringing a bit of calm into the mix; they had good chemistry and I really enjoyed getting to know Adrian’s group too. There are some really interesting secondary characters introduced in this book (different to those in Willow Lake introduced in book 1) and I’m definitely interested to learn more about them! I thought the pace was good, the plot was interesting and, although some bits were a tad unbelievable even for a paranormal romance, it was all in good fun. Overall, a great MM romance with lots to like. I’m really looking forward to book 3 with Jake and Gage and hope that there’s more to come after that too.
I received an ARC and this is my honest review.

Jeremy is such a great character. It was great to read his story, and meet Adrian and his team. Just ordered the next book. Hope, no, I just know it is going to be just as good. Thanks for a great read but hope we can have more of Jeremy and Adrian and find out how his magic develops.
