The books are perfect for my 5year old. He wasn’t enjoying his school reading books si thought I’d try to get him to read something he’s interested in. He’s enjoyed them & reads them independently, it has boosted his confidence & enjoyment of reading.

Quality of books are great, and the content is good. Repeat words, short sentences, and the graphics are lovely. My 4 year old loves them.

Nicely packaged as a box set. We found these books great for engaging the reading with the kids. This is level one and they step up according to the difficulty level. Also gets the kids into Starwars! Bonus! Much more fun reading about Luke and Leia than Lucy and Timmy!

The illustrations in these books are by far their strongest aspect. My 6-year-old, Star-Wars mad daughter loves them. She is in Y2 and an able reader and finds the texts easy, which is great, as she is quite a reluctant reader if she finds it too challenging.
The reason for my low rating is the fact that the story from the prequels is entirely ignored in these sets. They cover the original trilogy and the sequels. I understand the prequels are nowhere near as loved as the originals, but compared to the new trilogy, they are much better (in terms of story continuity and theme), so to ignore them entirely seems shortsighted. I couldn’t rate this any higher because they essentially have Act II and Act III (which may as well be an entirely different series in terms of series and character continuity) but not the first act of the overarching story. My daughter, being only 6, is a big fan of Anakin Skywalker and was upset he wasn’t in these books.

Our grandson is a huge Star Wars fan. From the moment he got these books he has been reading them. The books are a good mix of simple words that can be sounded out and longer words to challenge him. Very happy with this purchase.

They are excellent books with stories following the movies. However they are in American English so just be aware if buying these in the uk.
