my son (8 yrs old) has a massive interest on all things military. He is half German, half English and this book presented images and content from both sides… a more balanced view than some of the solely British viewpoint. This book is a standard format. Lots of interesting facts, documents, images – all of which helped to make this a very enjoyable read.

Very well set out, informative book for young children (and adults!). My 7yo (nearly 8) is enjoying it. We read it together, but it’s certainly possible for a Yr2/yr3 child to read solo.
