A National Geographic book and you can tell. Lots of glossy, coloured pictures and information. More like a reference book and probably something kids would look through with an adult, rather than something they’d take to bed and get lost in. Maybe the kind of thing teachers and kids would use at school.

This is a great little book adding a slice of humour to learning – which is always a winner! £6.50 is a reasonable price too!

This book isgreat at just flicking through and looking at all the unusual pictures and interesting quick facts. Children and families who don’t want long texts to read will like this. It is accessible to most and a great way to include people in fun discussion points. It encourages thinking and talking with additional facts to keep interest high. A fun book.

I grew up on National Geographic Kids in the 90s and I was excited to come across this book. Even as an adult now, I am learning a lot from this bookalong with my 5yr old son. My son is autistic and only interested in very limited things so when I got this book and I started asking him, “Would you rather…”, he loved it. He likes having a choice and this type of reading peaked his interest as well as a fun learning mechanism. He even takes up the book to flip through the pictures, which he likes and gets me to read more to him. NG for the win! Autistic kid, stamp of approval.

My youngest daughter loves these types of books. This one is well presented and colourful. It is simply good fun and very well presented – as you would expect from National Geographic.
Would recommend.

This is a fun book especially if you like to play “would you rather” after a while it can be tough to come up with different ideas for the game. Well this book has you covered with lots of suggestions! There are 200 different scenarios. It is National Geographic themed so there is a slight educational aspect to this book.
It is aimed at 6-9 years which I think is pretty accurate. I do think that age range should be able to read the book themselves especially the older end of that age range. It is a handy size too so great for travel.
Overall this is the type of book ideal for holidays as it is compact enough to pop in a backpack and make a fun game of it with your children. The scenarios aren’t too long winded but fun enough to entertain. With a few facts to learn along the way. I’m very happy with it!
