A short little rhyming story making adopted children feel special. It does however refer to God as planning the adoption- which doesn’t work for us as we are not religious! We will think of something else to say on that page!!!

Great little rhyming book to introduce your adopted child to the concept of adoption. My criticism is of the Religious aspect which I was not expecting. To say that the adoption was “planned by God above” at the end I find to be I’ll placed for us as a family unit, which presents more questions and frankly confuses matters. If like us you are a family with no particular religious affiliation we wish to approach the subject of the existence/involvement of God separately to the subject of being adopted. May not be important to most people but it is to us. A little disappointed that this was not mentioned within the books description.

But we didn’t like the content of this book. There are much better books out there for adopted children, like the Nutmeg books.
