Our six year old loves history, and while I was concerned this book may be too complicated for her, she absolutely loves it! Really funny, brilliant illustrations, easy to follow. Highly recommended bedtime reading

Put 4 stars as a gift so not had feedback from grand kids as to how good the book is, but for me I am very happy with the purchase. Lovely looking book … as I say – quality for the money.

I got this book for my 9 year old son as a christmas present. He is a bit of a reluctant reader and it is not easy finding something he likes outside Wimpy Kid and Stickdog, which he does devour.
My son absolutely loves this book. It is very engaging and fun to read. Has a very charming cheeky puns and is full of interesting historical facts and it is very nicely illustrated. My son really loves the self-deprecating anecdotes from the author 🙂 and the fact that he can enlighten us at breakfast with some random historical fact about every-day stuff.
I really recommend this book.
