I found it a very helpful read to gain a deeper understanding of mental health conditions.

The personal stories, along with research, provides easy to follow information on various mental health conditions. I would say it’s a useful resource for both individuals struggling with their mental wellbeing and also for people who want to support them. I recommend everyone has it on their book shelf as their go-to guide.

This book is great for anyone suffering from or knows someone suffering from a MH issue, it’s also a worthwhile read for those who are interested in developing their understanding of MH. The real life case studies being this to life while supporting the content of the book. It has clearly been well thought out not only in the content but the structure of the chapters, making it easy to follow and clear signposting for those that need it.

I found this book to be very readable, well laid out and easy to dip in and out of. Not all chapters will be of interest to all readers but it should be a valuable tool for anyone experiencing personal issues or for anyone in a supporting position. The personal acconts give the chapters a realistic perspective and are a good aid to understanding different conditions from the point of veiw of the person experiencing the condition or of those around them.

Upon reading the book “Your Mental Health,” I was particularly intrigued by the mention of Tommy Lowther, the founder and CEO of Sporting Force, who had served in the 1st Battalion Light Infantry and experienced significant challenges in his military and police careers. However, upon closer examination, it became evident that the information presented in the book regarding Tommy Lowther’s experiences is factually incorrect and raises doubts about the overall authenticity and accuracy of the content.

The book asserts that Tommy Lowther joined the army at the age of 16 and was deployed to Northern Ireland in 1998 for the marching season. However, it is well-documented and evidenced that individuals under the age of 18 are not sent on operational tours, rendering this claim implausible and inaccurate. Moreover, the book places the Gibraltar incident after the Northern Ireland tour, whereas verified accounts from ex-serving soldiers establish the chronological order to be the opposite.

Such factual inaccuracies call into question the reliability and credibility of the book as a whole. If the basic details regarding Tommy Lowther’s experiences are misrepresented or fabricated, it raises doubts about the accuracy of the information provided about other individuals and their accounts within the book. As a reader seeking a genuine and informative exploration of mental health, it is disheartening to encounter such discrepancies.

While it is possible that the intentions behind including Tommy Lowther’s story were well-intentioned, the factual inaccuracies surrounding his experiences undermine the credibility of the book. It is crucial for books addressing mental health and personal narratives to be founded on accurate information and genuine accounts to provide readers with a reliable and authentic understanding of the subject matter.

In conclusion, the misrepresentation and factual inaccuracies in the book’s portrayal of Tommy Lowther’s experiences raise significant doubts about the genuineness and accuracy of the entire publication. Readers seeking reliable information and authentic narratives about mental health would be better served by exploring alternative sources and verified accounts that provide a more credible and accurate understanding of the topic.

I bought this book so I could understand more about managing mental problems. I found it very informative and was great to be able to read the insite into real life examples. Well worth the purchase if you have or know anyone with any mental health issues covered in the book.

I purchased this book as someone who has suffered anxiety since I was a child. Also my family has suffered from terrible loss, and I have friends who have other mental health troubles. My son started to suffer from school based social anxiety and I was looking for tips for helping him too.

This book felt like it might offer me some rounded support on all the above aspects. I struggle to read non fiction books if I am honest so I was skeptical, but found this easy to read, understand and relatable with the accounts in each section. I just read a chapter every few days.

I attended a talk where Claire Eastham spoke of her story, and she just sounded like my son when she was younger. Her story is in this book along with others.

I just wish the NHS was better placed for early interventions for better outcomes. In the mean time, if I can read anything and follow individuals who I can relate to for my own situations, including supporting my family and friends then that is what I do.

    I recommend it.

Your Mental Health – out of all the mental health books I have come across, this by far is the easiest to read, digest, and understand.

In this book are topics which to some might come across as complex school of thoughts, however it is written in a way that is simple, and engages the reader – without feeling overwhelmed.

Since reading this book, I have purchased several copies and gifted them to close friends, as I felt that this book stands out from all other mental health books I have come across, and it can relate to any human being in some way, shape, or form.
